What is a storage device that stores data permanently?

There isn't a storage device that stores data *permanently* in the absolute sense. All storage devices can fail, be destroyed, or have their data overwritten.

However, devices that are designed for long-term, relatively permanent data storage include:

* Archival hard drives: These are designed for durability and longevity, often with features like error correction and environmental protection.

* Optical discs (CD-ROM, DVD, Blu-ray): While susceptible to scratching and degradation over very long periods, these can store data for many years if properly handled.

* Magnetická páska: Often used in large-scale archival systems, magnetic tape can store data for decades, though the technology to read it might become obsolete.

* M-DISC: A type of optical disc designed for much longer lifespan than standard CDs or DVDs.

The key is that "permanent" is relative. Najlepší prístup k skutočne trvalému ukladaniu údajov často zahŕňa redundanciu a viac kópií uložených na rôznych miestach pomocou rôznych technológií.
